Frances Virginia Roby was born in Breckenridge, Co. on September 18, 1917. She was raised in Denver where she met Ernest A. Kendrew. They were married on January 16, 1938 and they had one daughter, Jacqueline Louise, before they moved to Portland, Oregon in 1941. After having another daughter, Judith Ann, she went to work for Burlington Northern Rail Road in the terminal-timekeeping department as a comptometer operator. She retired in 1973 to spend extra time with her husband and golf with her friends at King City, Oregon. After Ernie's death in 1975, she met Albert Deschenes and they were married in January 1977. They also enjoyed all of the activities available in King City and made many friends. They moved to The Town Center Village and immediately made many new friends and got involved in all of the activities there. She especially enjoyed the trips to Spirit Mountain. During her long and happy life she was a wonderful mother, wife, seamstress, golfer, and loved a good party. Frances died peacefully at age 94 on December 25th with her two daughters by her side at the Parkside Adult Care Home in Milwaukie Oregon. She is survived by her two daughters; Jackie Shrock and her husband Gene of Milwaukie, and Judy Lashbrook and her husband Rick of Eagle, ID; 5 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; and 11 Great - Great Grandchildren. She will be missed by all.
